We can’t thank all of you enough for joining us on this new adventure. We felt your excitement and curiosity to learn more about what to expect from Liberty and Heart. So, today we’re going to share a little more behind the scenes of how we got here, what we’re looking for, and how we plan to live out our mission.
Now more than ever, it’s easy to get caught up in having the perfect outfit, the perfect ring, the perfect details, the perfect wedding day, being the perfect mother… The chase for perfection is never ending. With social media at our fingertips, images of perfection are staring us in the face every single day. But I am fighting against perfection. The images that speak most to my heart are the ones that define a moment or a relationship and connect you to the subjects in the moment. Those are the moments that fill me up and fuel me to live an authentic, fulfilling life.
When we started talking about what kind of content we’d share on this blog, we wrote out a list of words and phrases. In all of the words we wrote down, perfect was never one of them. We want to embrace imperfection. We want to show the tears, trips and triumphs. We want to show the unexpected even if it means a hair out of place.
We wanted something pretty, but, more importantly, it had to have emotion- real, raw emotional moments. It had to have HEART. Although some posts won’t be emotional, our goal is that you feel the heart in most of our content. We want to create a welcoming, warm, and encouraging community that shares uplifting and inspiring stories. We’re building an inspiration site focusing on love, life, weddings and beyond.
We look forward to sharing your stories, your client’s stories, and stories that make you feel good. We wrote a mission based on all of these things and we mean every word of it:
At Liberty & Heart, we are dedicated to creating a community of storytellers who embrace the ups and downs in love and life. We shine light on everything from exceptional vendors to the emotional challenges of life. We seek to inspire readers for their wedding day and beyond.
So if you came here looking for perfection, you won’t find perfection here. What we hope you will find is lots and lots of heart.
