Stephen and Jessica | Bethany Beach Proposal Story

Are you planning a surprise proposal?!  You should definitely take notes from this charming Bethany Beach proposal story then.  Anna from Arpasi Photography in Baltimore MD shared these photos with us.  The minute I saw Jessica’s adorable hat and sun dress with the perfectly clear beach day, I knew this was going to be a hit, not to mention it’s the photographer Anna’s brother and now future sister in law!!!! It’s terribly difficult to for the person proposing to keep the proposal a surprise and hint to wear a nice outfit.  Jessica was dressed PERFECTLY for this beach proposal and I am sure she will thank Stephen and Anna for all the hints along the way.  Help your best friend out, if you are having your proposal photographed, fake a fancy date, or family outting, make sure they are dressed their best.  Thanks to Anna for sharing this adorable story.

Anna: Stephen and Jessica had been together since 2003, so this proposal has been a long time coming!  Stephen is my brother so I reached out to him when I heard he was going to propose to Jessica.  I let him know that I needed to be there when he proposes so they would have that moment documented forever (boys need a little push sometimes).  Jessica’s parents have a house in Bethany and so they went up for a long weekend.  I drove up separate on a Thursday morning.  When I got there, I scouted out the (very crowded) beach and texted him where I would be.  It was a beach access with benches that was high up so it gave me a good view of the beach.  I was wearing a bright red sweatshirt and a red trucker hat (I had to disguise myself since Jessica knows me).  They were planning to go to the shops, walk on the beach, and then get dinner (hence them being dressed up).  I had the difficult job of trying to find them with literally hundreds of people on the beach.  I was scanning the beach at all times and missed them when they walked by.  My brother texted me that they had passed the point where I was, but I didn’t see them.  I texted back and so I knew that they were close.  As they walked towards the beach access where I was waiting, I saw them.    I ran towards them and Stephen stopped when he saw me and kissed her.  This gave me enough time to catch up to them (while simultaneously snapping away).  When Stephen saw that I was in position, he got down on one knee and asked Jessica to spend the rest of her life with him.  I think that Jessica was in shock!  We took a couple of pictures there on the beach, but then went home to tell Jessica’s parents.  They spent the rest of the weekend celebrating. Stephen and Jessica will be getting married in September at Riverside on the Potomac.  Bethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyBethany Beach DE Engagement ring - Arpasi PhotographyDelaware Beach Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyDelaware Beach Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyDelaware Beach Proposal Photographs - Arpasi PhotographyDelaware Beach Proposal Photographs - Arpasi Photography
